About the Plot

We have lived in this house for over 15 years but 2016 is the first year I have written a blog about the vegetable plot. We have four Call Ducks that have free roam as a slug patrol and three chickens for eggs.

Our vegetable garden consists of seven raised beds with  the option to cover six of them with nets or cloches.

We have eight mixed apple trees including two Duo variety trees. There is also an Asparagus bed, Rhubarb, Gooseberry bushes, a blackcurrant bush.
 There is a 10"x 4" leanto greenhouse.

Near the house I have a herb bed which contains, thyme, basil, sage, sorrel, origano and rosemary. Chives , Lemon balm and Mint are also available. The patio is south facing and is ideal for tomatoes and peppers in the summer.
