Not much happening

Today it started to snow at 7.25am but it is not cold enough to settle and by 9.00am it had virtually stopped. I expect it will be gone by this afternoon.

Nothing to do it the garden apart from harvest odd leeks and cabbage. However I checked the four Squash I had in the green house. Two were mouldy around the stalks so I took the remaining two into the kitchen and prepared to roast them. They were quite small but I gave it a go.Sue and I have never had Butternut Squash before so it was quite a surprise to find out how good they were for us and they tasted great.

I have altered my plans to grow three plants in a spare bed this year. They store well and I think they will be good when using roasting bags for chicken dishes etc.
